Rikki started her career in Graphic Design after completing a Diploma in Art and Design at RMIT Victoria. At the height of her career she managed her own graphic design studio in Melbourne for 20 years. Upon selling the business in 2005 she was now determined to find time to work on her own artwork and refine her skills as an artist.

The variety was amazing and I was hooked”. However in 2012 her focus changed to African animals after a trip to East Africa.
Rikki uses a variety of media depending on what she is wanting to achieve in her artwork. Her most recent works are in Scratchboard. She holds Scratchboard workshops for artists and also teaches adult drawing classes for ‘Absolute Beginners’.

Marie France
I was born in Quebec Canada into an eccentric French Canadian family. From early childhood I have developed my passion for art. By the age of 18 I commenced studying art, theatre and dance in Montreal. After extensive world travel including South America, Asia, Middle East and Europe, I settled in Australia where I pursued my journey in art. I completed an Advanced Diploma in Ceramic and visual art in 1999 and then exhibited in Noosa Yandina Mooloolabah Byron Bay and Gold Coast .Since settling in Uki NSW Australia in 2007,I have dedicated my creativity to my art providing the time space and motivation most artists dream of.
I am a sculptor and painter principally working with clay as my favourite medium. My sculptures are hand built using clay slabs to make hollow forms, which are then fired in a gas kiln to become my canvas or I simply apply clay on canvas to be part of my painting. Oil or acrylic is used to produce the illusion of metal or vibrant colors. My art could be described as naïve. My images are strong and arresting largely as a result of the three dimensional technique. I am inspired by where I live and travel, the villages, the nature, the native, the human form.

Jen Harkness
I am a practising visual and life artist based in Brays Creek. I nurture a small family through traditional and sustainable practises on an organic farm in the rainforest. In 2009 I completed a study of fine arts in the Netherlands where I lived for 6 years. There, I was introduced to eco communities and the squatting scene and became inspired by the ability to reclaim a creatively meaningful lifestyle free from the grind of the mainstream system. These experiences, and travels through the world have fuelled a fascination with people and culture; their relationships with plants, animals, the elements, each other, and their place within the universe. My paintings and drawings are a long running documentary of my observations, focusing on subjects that have a deep connection to mother earth and the spirit world. I am interested in how shamanism manifests in contemporary alternative cultures as well as traditional tribal and animist cultures. I try to visualise the visually manifest the magic of co-existing with nature, evoking the cycles, patterns and vibrations of life and death. I see creativity as wilderness in human beings, not to be directed or suppressed, but to be embraced and exercised in all areas of life.

I love working with and painting geometrical designs with mystical connotations. I have studied many art forms over the years but always return to the fascination of geometrical, mathematical based art forms. My background is based in the mechanical ~ electrical, drafting and engineering genre and I use my ‘antique’ drafting equipment to create mandalas.
My purpose for painting mandalas is to bring about an inner calm and to enjoy the quiet and meditative state they create for me. My mandalas are handpainted on canvas or paper in mixed media and are one-off works only.
The Mandala is an ancient and sacred symbol of the universe. Classically in the form of a circle (the Cosmos) enclosed in a square (Earthbound matter). Mandalas are used for meditation, contemplation, healing and visual pleasure. The context of the Mandala is to follow the "peaceful path". To gain understanding of things by becoming calm and centred and to discover that divinity resides within yourself.

June King
June’s artistic tendencies manifest themselves when as a child she would do drawings of family and friends faces. The encouragement she got from her family stimulated her early interest in art, and this was further developed by an artist friend and mentor. June works mainly in water colours and oils, and sometimes in acrylics or mixed media, as well as some experiments with collage and other new media. She works with a broad range of subjects figure paintings, landscapes, and especially still life studies of flowers. She is always open to what is new, whether in subject matter or media, and this openness imparts a vitality to her work.
Jenny Kitchener
Sydney's bushland fringe was Jenny's playground as a child. Home is now a beautiful rural property located in the sub-tropical Northern Rivers area of NSW where birdsong and the hum of insects provide the perfect soundtrack for creating art.
In 1992 she completed a Bachelor of Arts at The University of New England, Northern Rivers Campus, where she graduated with First Class Honours and was awarded The University Medal. In 1996 she completed a Master of Arts at Southern Cross University.
Pattern, repetition and rhythm play a part in nature and also feature in Jenny's prints. She has been seduced by the humble linocut which has become the ideal matrix from which a multitude of insects, birds, flowers, leaves, scissors and other ephemera emerge.
Jenny often uses the process of collage to build up complex and intricate images which interweave personal stories with universal themes. The use of metaphor and symbols has become an integral part of her work.

Introducing mix media supports the journey of self-discovery. Layers of Texture create a very organic, earthy decorative landscape. Burnt patterning and shadows give depth and implies a sense of motion that has brought my emotions to a place of recognition.
Shimmering colour’s of inlayed Papua shell, Gem stone or Opal draws the viewer’s attention and guides their gaze through the picture plain. Rich colouring of the Australian outback demonstrates the spiritual aura within the landscape.
Basic mark making, elements of lines, dots, scrolls; organic shapes are all visual texture and echoes intangible metaphors of myself. Repetition of pattern, vivid colouring, layering of textures and the Australian landscape has become my personal handwriting.

Suzy Maloney
I live in the beautiful Northern Rivers area of NSW, Australia. I have painted all my life, predominantly in oils. My main subject matter is close to my heart and comes from my deep love of animals of all shapes and sizes, from horses to dragonflies to tigers. I also sometimes paint humans, trees and even the odd abstract!
When commencing a new painting there’s a moment when the spirit of the animal arrives on the canvas, from that point I feel the animal take over, and I’m just the vehicle. This is a magic moment that awes me every time.
As well as painting animal images from my own life and wild animals from my travels, I love doing commission paintings of other peoples’ beloved animals from their favourite photograph. Please contact me if you’d like to immortalise your own animal/s on canvas.

I am a visual artist, living on the edge, near the rainforest in Northern NSW, Australia. After many years of sign writing, the old fashioned way, with a brush, then more years tattooing. I Left work in 2016 and spent several months travelling before I returned to my studio at home to produce a body of work. My debut solo show 'Weeds' opened in September 2017 at Muse Contemporary Gallery.I illustrate mostly with fine pens, sometimes using inks and watercolours. Its pretty lowbrow really......My recent work pays homage to my roots as a professional tattooer and looks at the social discourse of outsiders, fringe dwellers on societys perimeter. Intrigued by the concept of weeds, the ways we separate and exclude. I illustrate weeds of all kinds, plants, animals and people. Exploring our views of perfection and how we perceive what is useful or beautiful. I am a weed, having grown into an artist outside art institutions and conventional art culture.

Christine Robinson
Several years after obtaining a degree in Visual Art at the South Australian School of Art, Christine moved to the beautiful Tweed Valley in New South Wales where she now lives on a rural property with her partner in life and their three cats, ‘The Phantom’, ‘Mr Puggles’ and ‘Winnie’.
Very much inspired by the energy of the surrounding mountains, Mt. Warning to the North, Nightcap Ranges to the South and the Border Ranges to the west, Christine’s work is a reflection of her attitude to life. ‘Life of course has its ups and downs but is a truly wondrous experience and I trust that my paintings reflect this. They are an extension of my life and my way of interpreting whatever is happening at any given time.’

Donna Sharam
Donna Sharam’s paintings explode with colour and joyful images. Inspired by a combination of her vivid imagination and observation of the natural world around her, they directly reflect her zest for life. Her use of gestural brushstrokes, spontaneous mark making, emotive colours and action painting techniques create works that are highly individual in execution and style. While Donna’s work is not confined to any single school of painting her images are reminiscent of fauvist expressionism, known for its use of use of luminous, pure colours and bold, distinctive brushwork.
Donna paints from her imagination and from the heart. The overwhelming sentiment in her art is joy and love of life. Her hope is that when buying or viewing her work this feeling is transferred to you and your environment.
