I was born & raised in Murwillumbah -Northern Rivers , N.S.W. in 1954 and have lived in the Northern Rivers for most of my life.

I studied ceramics at the National Art School( East Sydney Tech) in 1975-6 and at Southern Cross University in 1985-90, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, majoring in Ceramics . I’ve been making domestic ware pottery full time since then. My work is made from fine white stoneware clay, high fired to 1260 degrees C , which produces a durable body and glaze, is microwave and dishwasher safe and does not react to food acid or any other food. My main aim with my work is to create pleasing forms, and also to produce pieces that are a pleasure to use as well as to look at.
